Nestled along a serene stretch of coastline, this boutique beachfront retreat offers a tranquil escape, with stunning ocean views, infinity pools, and lush tropical gardens.
Settle into your private villa and take the afternoon at your own pace—unwind by the pool, stroll along the beach, or indulge in a rejuvenating spa treatment. As the sun sets over the Bali Sea, enjoy a delicious meal at Quinci’s acclaimed restaurant, where fresh seafood and locally inspired cuisine create the perfect end to your first day in Lombok.
Day 2
Start your day with a leisurely breakfast at Quinci Villas, enjoying the peaceful beachfront atmosphere before setting off on your journey north. The scenic drive takes you through traditional villages and lush landscapes, offering a glimpse into local Lombok life. A brief stop at Lombok Wildlife Park provides the opportunity to observe rescued animals before continuing the journey towards Senaru, nestled in the foothills of Mount Rinjani.
Upon arrival in Senaru, take in the stunning surroundings over lunch at Cafe Rinjani Dawn, where you’ll dine with a view of rice terraces rolling down to the distant ocean. After lunch, cross to the other side of the valley for a guided rice field walk in Teresgenit, learning about traditional rice cultivation and Sasak customs as you meander through the lush paddies. The walk leads to Sendang Gile Waterfall, where you’ll pause to admire the rushing cascade before continuing deeper into the jungle.
The trail leads to Tiu Kelep Waterfall, an awe-inspiring hidden gem surrounded by rainforest. Take time to swim in the cool natural pools, enjoy the refreshing mist, and soak in the serene jungle atmosphere before completing the trek. The walk finishes at Rinjani Lodge, your accommodation for the night, where you can unwind with panoramic views of the Rinjani highlands.
In the evening, choose to dine at Cafe Rinjani Dawn with a complimentary meal, or explore alternative dining options at your own expense before settling in for the night.
Day 3
Wake up to a leisurely breakfast at Rinjani Lodge, enjoying breathtaking views of Mount Rinjani and the lush valley below. This morning offers flexibility—if you’re interested, you can take a short visit to Senaru Traditional Village and the forest coffee gardens, where you’ll learn about local Sasak traditions and coffee cultivation.
After a relaxing start, enjoy coffee and a snack at Cafe Rinjani Dawn before departing Senaru. En route to Sajang Village, you’ll have the option to stop for a brief visit at the historic Bayan Old Mosque, one of the oldest in Lombok. The drive to Sajang Village takes approximately an hour, bringing you closer to the remote eastern slopes of Mount Rinjani.
Upon arrival, you’ll begin your trek to Mangku Sakti Waterfall. The walk takes around an hour, but if you prefer a motorbike taxi (ojek), this can be arranged to take you most of the way. Once at the waterfall, your guide will set up a picnic lunch, freshly prepared at Cafe Rinjani Dawn, allowing you to dine in a stunning riverside setting.
After lunch, you’ll have the option to explore the narrow gorge below Mangku Sakti Waterfall, a dramatic canyon carved by volcanic water flows. Some areas are safe for swimming, but swimming directly beneath Mangku Kodek Waterfall is strictly prohibited due to strong underwater currents.
Once you’ve had ample time to relax and explore, you’ll walk back to Sajang Village and continue the drive to Sembalun, a remote highland town surrounded by rolling hills and volcanic peaks. After checking into your Sembalun accommodation, you can either relax at your lodge or take a short drive to Bukit Selong, a famous viewpoint known for its patchwork farmland and spectacular sunset views.
Dinner is not included tonight, but you can choose to dine at your accommodation’s restaurant or at a small local eatery in Sembalun. While options are limited, your guide can offer recommendations.
Day 4
Today offers the perfect blend of adventure, breathtaking scenery, and cultural discovery. Early risers can opt for a sunrise hike up Pergasingan Hill, departing at 4:00 AM, where you’ll be rewarded with stunning panoramic views over the Sembalun valley as the sun rises behind Mount Rinjani. If you prefer a slower start, you can enjoy a relaxed morning at your accommodation before breakfast.
After breakfast, your journey continues as you depart Sembalun valley via a spectacular mountain road, passing through Taman Wisata Pusuk, a highland area with sweeping views of the flat-bottomed valley below. If you opted out of the sunrise hike, there will be opportunities to stop for photos at scenic viewpoints along the way. The drive from Sembalun to Narmada Park takes approximately two hours, with optional stops along the route for short breaks or refreshments.
Upon arrival at Narmada Park, you’ll explore this historic royal water palace, built in the 18th century as a retreat for Lombok’s king. The site features manicured gardens, temples, and a sacred spring-fed pool believed to bring longevity. After your visit, you’ll have the option to explore the Islamic Centre in Mataram, home to Lombok’s largest mosque, where you can climb the tower for panoramic views over the capital city.
Continuing towards Senggigi, you’ll stop at a traditional handicrafts village, renowned for its intricate wood carvings and handmade crafts. This is an excellent opportunity to purchase unique souvenirs, meet local artisans, and learn about Lombok’s traditional woodworking techniques.
After a full day of travel and sightseeing, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel in Senggigi, where you can relax for the evening. The hotel has an on-site restaurant, but if you prefer to explore, Senggigi town is just a short ride away. Before departing, your driver will confirm your pickup time for the following morning.
Day 5
Leave the mainland behind as you set off on an unforgettable island-hopping adventure in the Secret Gilis, a collection of small, pristine islands off Lombok’s southwest coast. After breakfast, you’ll travel to Sekotong Barat harbor, where a private boat will be waiting to take you on a full day of snorkeling and island exploration.
Throughout the day, you’ll visit Gili Nanggu, Gili Tangkong, Gili Sudak, and Gili Kedis, each offering crystal-clear waters, colorful coral reefs, and vibrant marine life. The snorkeling here is some of the best in Lombok, with opportunities to swim among tropical fish, sea turtles, and thriving coral gardens. A freshly prepared lunch will be served on one of the islands, allowing you to relax in the shade and take in the stunning surroundings.
By late afternoon, you’ll arrive at your exclusive beach campsite on Gili Tangkong, a quiet and unspoiled island perfect for a night under the stars. As the sun sets, enjoy a BBQ dinner and bonfire on the beach, soaking in the peaceful atmosphere of this secluded paradise. Fall asleep to the sound of gentle waves lapping against the shore, making this a truly unforgettable experience.
Day 6
Wake up to the tranquility of Gili Tangkong, surrounded by crystal-clear waters and untouched beaches. Start your morning with a walk around the island or a final snorkeling session straight from the beach, making the most of your last moments in this secluded paradise.
After breakfast, your boat will collect you at 9:30 AM to take you back to the mainland, where your driver will be waiting to continue the journey south towards Selong Belanak Beach. This scenic beach is known for its soft white sand and beginner-friendly waves, making it the perfect spot for an optional surfing lesson. If surfing isn’t for you, simply relax on the beach, soak up the sun, or enjoy a swim in the calm waters.
Lunch is not included, but there are plenty of restaurants and warungs along the beach where you can enjoy a meal at your own pace. When you’re ready, your journey continues along the stunning coastal road towards Kuta, offering breathtaking views of Lombok’s rugged southern coastline.
On the way, you’ll have the option to visit Gua Sumur, a well-known bat cave that is a unique stop for those interested in a short exploration. If you’d like to visit, simply let your driver know.
By late afternoon, you’ll arrive in Kuta, a vibrant coastal town with a lively dining and nightlife scene. After checking into your hotel, your Secret Lombok Wilderness Adventure officially comes to an end. From here, you’re free to explore the town, relax on the beaches, or enjoy one of Kuta’s many fine restaurants and bars. Should you need help arranging onward transport to the airport or harbor, just let us know.
This tour is designed for beginner to intermediate hikers, with some sections involving moderate trekking. The most challenging hike is the optional Pergasingan Hill sunrise trek, which has steep inclines and an elevation gain of 350 meters over a 4 km round-trip. Other walks, such as the Teresgenit rice field walk and Senaru Waterfall Trail, are more relaxed. If you prefer to skip any treks, alternative transport options may be available.
The package includes a mix of boutique hotels, eco-lodges, and an exclusive beach camping experience. You’ll stay in comfortable accommodations with great views, including Rinjani Lodge in Senaru and a beachfront hotel in Senggigi. The one night of camping on Gili Tangkong is a back-to-nature experience, with tents, sleeping mats, and a beachside bonfire.
We recommend packing light, breathable clothing, swimwear, a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and comfortable walking shoes. For the hiking sections, bring sturdy shoes with good grip. A dry bag is useful for keeping valuables safe while snorkeling, and a light jacket is recommended for cooler mornings in the highlands.
Yes, we provide high-quality snorkeling gear (mask, snorkel, and fins) for your Secret Gilis island-hopping day. However, if you prefer to use your own equipment, feel free to bring it along.
This package includes accommodation, private transport, boat transfers, guided activities, some meals (breakfasts, picnic lunch, and BBQ dinner), and snorkeling gear. Not included are lunches at restaurants, dinners in certain locations, optional activities (such as surfing lessons), and personal expenses.
Yes! We can cater to vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and other dietary preferences. Please let us know in advance so we can make the necessary arrangements.
The best time to visit Lombok is during the dry season (April to November) when trekking trails, snorkeling conditions, and island camping are at their best. The rainy season (December to March) still offers great experiences but may involve some itinerary adjustments due to weather.
Gili Tangkong is an uninhabited island, so facilities are very basic. We provide portable camping toilets, and fresh water will be available for washing up. However, this is a remote experience, so be prepared for an off-grid night in nature.
Yes, we offer flexibility where possible. If you’d like to adjust activities, spend more or less time in certain locations, or add optional excursions (such as a visit to the Islamic Centre or Gua Sumur bat cave), let us know, and we’ll tailor the itinerary to your preferences.
